Economy Inn

This place may seem a little off-the-grid, but I was very happy with my room. The bed was comfortable and had a lot of blankets. TV is no-longer an old CRT TV and is now a flat-screen with an available HDMI port. Bathroom was a little outdated, and the water pressure was minimal. Had a few pill-bugs I had to flush upon inspection, but outside of that, the room is cozy. Good WiFi signal during the day, seems to bunk out at night, though.

For the price, this really deserves 5 stars. Being the cheapest motel in Ithaca, I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised with a clean bed and room, shower with ample hot water, and towels replaced daily. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area just looking for a cheap place to stay the nights in between waterfall-hunting.

Very easy check in, room were very clean. Location is very close to the state park/the falls/ and the town.

I’m giving it a general 5 stars not because it’s the lap of luxury, but based what it offers for what it is. It’s a cheap (and small—about 20 units?) place for sure, but I found the man working the desk (owner?) to be very friendly and the room to be clean and comfortable. I see other complaints about the wifi—I’m using it for basic phone connection and it’s worked, but I couldn’t comment on whether there would or wouldn’t be issues if I were trying to do more with it. The bed was quite comfortable, the sheets clean (and I did pull a couple corners out to check for you-know-what), the bathroom was much nicer than expected including a shower stall that certainly wasn’t super-fancy but definitely newer and with a nice stonework floor—it’s a very pleasant touch. Window unit heater works great. I’m not sure what’s up with the phone as there’s no dial tone, but I’m right by the office and just walked over—it was about 8:30pm and the man had done back into what I guess is his residence but was very friendly when he came out to see what I needed. (The WiFi password.) Mini fridge great, microwave also included, I didn’t turn on the tv and so couldn’t comment on that.

Is this an old motel? Absolutely. Is it run down? Absolutely not. Yes, it has that 90s vibe with dated furniture, carpet, and an old-school phone, but it’s surprisingly well-kept. The sheets looked clean—no visible stains or hair (maybe I was lucky, but I appreciated it). Towels were neatly hung, and even the toilet paper was folded nicely. You can tell the owners put effort into upkeep, and everything in my room worked as it should—heat, hot water, hair dryer, etc. Of course, this isn’t the Hilton. If you’re expecting something fancy, this won’t be for you. But if you’re on a road trip or just need a place to sleep, this motel does the job well—and it’s one of the most reasonably priced options near Ithaca. I’d stay here again and would recommend it if you keep your expectations realistic.

Basic accommodation, but includes a fridge with freezer space, a microwave and cable tv. Comfortable beds and very friendly staff. Coffee brought to the rooms in the morning for those who wish, or available with donuts/pastries in the office.

We love it . Great price to grab some shut eye and continue on our journey . Service was great, she even called me to let me know they were waiting our arrival . The way back machine for sure .

Stayed here while traveling a few months back and the girl at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Budget friendly, very clean rooms.
